The Peermont Coronet Club – a new concept in leisure travel, giving you a wide variety of destinations, with flexible accommodation options, at a quarter of the price… Espial makes the historic launch come to life in the form of a beautiful 360° campaign and Cinema commercial.
Espiál’s team of VFX artists, led by Silviu Pauna (Executive Director), were responsible for not only ensuring the iconic star and all the other CG elements were seamlessly integrated into the spot, but also for creating all other CG elements. These include everything from the 3D books and character rigs, to the set extensions, Polaroids, flying fruit pieces as well as the RealFlow™ orange juice simulation and dynamic particle collisions.

PPC Bag A Bakkie |

PPC has developed a national promotion aimed at building strong brand affinity and preference for PPC cement over that of its competitors. The campaign is also designed to increase PPC cement sales, to encourage consumers to ask for PPC cement by name and to integrate PPC as part of their daily lives.
The competition name has been carefully crafted to communicate both the nature of the competition (namely that you can win with every bag of cement that you buy) as well as the grand prizes.
This 360-degree campaign is closely aligned with PPC’s approach of “Creating New Realities” by potentially changing the lives of its customers.

SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT CASE STUDY |
Special Assignment is a weekly investigative documentary show that aims to uncover the truth about news events and the people involved in them.
Since it's premiere in 1998 the show has gained the reputation of delivering unbiased, edgy journalism, breaking stories that have had an impact, not only on the immediate situation, but also on South African society as a whole.
Special Assignment turned to Espiál Branding and Design to refresh its image by designing a new logo, title sequence and other on-air material.
Espiál created a cutting edge new logo that visually represents Special Assignments dedication to pushing the boundaries of investigative journalism. The style of the logo is simple yet classy and clean.
The brand new Special Assignment title sequence features raw imagery and footage that is relevant to the programme. The footage is gritty and real but not offensive or overly violent. It represents the programme's unapologetic willingness to show the real story and the truth in its purest form. |

Espiál Branding and Design conceptualised and created an innovative series of dynamic genre line-ups for SABC 1.
Each 30-second line-up is used as a communication tool to relay information about relevant SABC 1 programming to the viewers. Distinctive and topical line-ups have been created for Drama, Doccies, Sport, Entertainment, Movies and Current Affairs, as well as a generic SABC 1 line-up.
The objective of the line-ups is to establish and communicate the exciting new visual aesthetic and fresh on-air style of SABC 1.

Espiál Branding and Design was approached by SABC 1 to create a conceptual promo to drive the channel's support of the 2009 National and Provincial Elections held during April. Espiál created a vibrant and dynamic animation-based ad that mixed funky imagery with an emotive narrative.
Script

SABC 1 GENERIC CASE STUDY |
SABC 1 commissioned Espiál Branding and Design to create a series of youthful, fresh and emotive promos for each of the channel's programming genres. The objective of the promos is to position and promote South Africa's number one television brand.
Espiál created an energetic and contemporary 30-second doccies SABC 1 promo, as well as exciting promos for each of the Drama, Entertainment and Doccies genres.
The images used relate directly to each genre, but do not cross the line between being easily associated and giving too much away or being show-and-tell. The animation used conveys the spirit and energy that SABC1 lends to its programming. It also gives the brand a unique, technologically advanced look and feel.
As a whole, the concept portrays the distinctive properties of each genre as well as the image of SABC1 as a cutting-edge brand, while setting a fresh new standard in television aesthetics.

SAFM CASE STUDY |
When SAfm decided to commission and air their first ever television commercial, they selected Espiál Branding and Design to handle the conceptualisation and production duties.
Espiál created a 30-second animated promo video promoting SAfm's exciting new news and current affairs programme line-up. The look and feel of the promo is clean, modern and relates to SAfm's positioning as South Africa's news and information leader.
The voice selected for the narration is also young, intelligent and representative of SAfm's demographic.
A dynamic blue ribbon was created in keeping with SAfm's visual identity to create continuation and motion throughout the ad. The ribbon morphs into the SAfm logo at the end of the promo.
